6 years ago we were blessed to have sweet Finley join our family!  He’s my sons best friend.  He sleeps in his bed each night.  They are best buddies!  Finley has a new sister that we added back in August, they keep each other company while we are all at school.  They love to chase each other and then cuddle up and snuggle when they get tired. ❤️

Gail, Wayne, Chloe and everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! It’s been cold! The girls seem to have acclimated well to the weather.  We got them some cute coats. Anabelle doesn’t do her morning wrestle (with Gidget) anymore but she likes to play with toys and she still runs. Gidget does the zoomies and requires a lot of hugs and kisses. I wonder if her litter is like that or just her ?—-great to see Anabelle’s litter picture there. Do you know how they are doing? I remember you saying they’d follow Anabelle around.
Much love,
Donna (and Jean)

Hi Gail!
I wanted to follow up with you about how Remy is doing and send you some photos.
We adore him! He loved all the snow we had the first week we brought him home! He's been enjoying little trail walks, watching Jeopardy with us at night, and playing fetch/ "Remy in the Middle" when he just wants to run without bringing the toy back. We took him on his first little day trip to Mount Baker this past Sunday and he was definitely "one with the mountains" enjoying all of the snow and people.
He fits perfectly into our little family!
We hope you and Denise are doing well!

Hi Gail!
Rain is doing fantastic! She changed our lives completely from the moment she stepped into our home. She is 12 lbs now at 3.5 months old, and is super energetic, smart, and very curious. She really likes running and playing, meeting new people and dogs (especially people!), and training time. She also loved the snowfall we had recently as you can see in the pictures! We are so blessed to have her in our family. Thank you, Gail!
PS: we would be thrilled to be connected with other families in the areas. I am sure Rain would love to see her siblings again.

Hi Gail,
We are in LOVE with Cheddar, he is just the best. Very inquisitive and friendly. He had a blast recently in the snow. Would be happy to share our info with others in the group. Attached are a few pictures of him recently, and a couple with his “uncle” Casper, who is my Mom’s dog (Gracie was his mom).
Best,

Hi Gail and Wayne:
It is so good to hear from you.  The news keeps reporting that western Washington has had lots and lots of rain, so I hope you survived the flooding.
As you can see from the above photos, Lucy has really grown, she is now somewhere around 16 pounds and exactly 5 months old today.  She is very smart, and will do nearly anything for a treat – she can sit, lay down, roll-over, stay, come when called, and a few others.  We were going to take her to obedience school when COVID calms down, but I’m not sure there is much to be gained from going.   Lucy has had a few stomach issues, but the vet thinks it was from merely eating her kibble too fast.  We got a “slow eating” bowl and that has helped.
We continue to get lots of comments about Lucy’s good looks and I agree she is very pretty -- even if she is also very onery – but that’s what makes life interesting.
Feel free to share my email with Lucy’s litter mate families, I’d love to see some photos of their puppies.
Gail, thank you for everything you have done for our family and again, thank you for staying in touch.
 Anne, Jim, and Lucy.

My first steps to being a full fledged therapy dog. I did really good when the lady tested me. She said I was going to be a great therapy dog and that I’m super cute and sweet and not timid about anything. She’s right. My Moms tell me that all the time.
Boy! have I had a day already. My first snow and it was fun to run and jump around in. I had a field jacket on so I was really warm. Aspen Joy 🐾

Good Morning Gail!
I hope you and yours had a wonderful holiday season and are looking forward to an even better New Year!
My name is Richard from Green Bay, WI and I was fortunate enough to get the most amazing Miniature Australian Labradoodle from you back in 2017, Oliver John (formerly Clancy).  See attached photos of the handsome man!   Oliver has been a true blessing and is so loved by myself and my entire family that I am thinking about hopefully getting Oliver a playmate from you as he gets older.  Oliver spent his first few years learning and playing with my old West Highland White Terrier (see attached photo of the two when Oliver was still little) but unfortunately cancer took him from Oliver a few years ago and I would like to get him a “brother” to keep him company.  I know I am probably bias but I have never come across a more gentle, intelligent and loving dog than Oliver.  I’m not sure if it’s the breed, the care you took of him in his early weeks or my terrier (not your typical terrier) that rubbed off on him but anyone that comes across him just falls in love with his gentle nature and obedient attitude.
That being said, what is your waiting list looking like these days for a male Miniature Australian Labradoodle?
 Thank you!
 -Richard

Hi Gail,
Anna is almost 9 months old already!  She is such a beautiful puppy, she is so loving and smart and very playful!!  I take her with me everywhere, she is such a great little traveler!! Thank you so much for your careful breeding to give us such a precious little dog!
I wanted to ask your opinion about the hair growing in her ears.  My vet has mentioned it may need to be plucked at some point.  I asked my groomer about that and she was very hesitant to do so because it could be so uncomfortable for Anna.  We have had no problems with her ears at all. Could you please tell me how you treat that hair with your dogs?
We had a beautiful yellow lab before Anna.  She was a swimmer and even though I cleaned her ears routinely she would still get infections.  She would scratch at her ears and they would smell.  We have had none of those problems so far with Anna.
Thank you for your help and advice!!

Hi Gail!
It's been awhile since we've sent an update. Rufus turned three on August 19th... amazing how fast time goes by!  He is the absolute LOVE of our family! He is BALL CRAZY and loves to play fetch.  We go to Discovery Park every day for an hour to play fetch (we've moved to Magnolia) and it's the highlight of his day! We are still working on the swimming though - he's still a little tentative to go in the water fully, though he ADORES the beach lol! I can't tell you how many times folks say to us they want a dog just like Rufus - I'm always passing on your info!  I just peeked on your site to see your latest available pups!  Seriously thinking about another sooner than later - we just couldn't be happier!  Thank you!!!!

Hi Gail,
It's been a long while since I have written you to share with you the happiness that our Besa has brought to our family. Our kids were in middle school when we got her from you in 2007. Today they are young adults living on their own, but what our dog has brought to their life and ours is indescribable. The obvious joy and love the dog expresses for our kids every time they come home is so beautiful to watch. Today Besa is 14 and we still call her puppy. As so many dogs have, she has truly enjoyed the pandemic and spends every day sleeping in a bed in the office both my wife and I work from. In general, Besa is still in excellent health but is not immune from aging. She has some bladder leakage when she sleeps and has had a heart murmur for many years. We feel so incredibly blessed to have her as part of our lives and will treasure every day we get to spend with her. I'll add yet another thank you to the mountain of them you have received. You have bred such beautiful dogs, and we are deeply grateful for Besa.

Hi Gail,
Thank you for bringing Casper into our lives, we couldn’t have imagined how perfect he would be for us. He’s incredibly loving, with an outgoing playful personality that has made everyone he meets fall in love.
He settled in without issue from day one. He never had an anxious night or a bad appetite. He’s a lover, and is happiest when he can play in the radius of his people. He also loves his puppy class, and now that he’s vaccinated, going out in the car to adventures.
Thank you for our little guy!

Hi Gail, I see that Maggie May has had another litter.  I am sure that the puppies will bring as much joy to their families as Sydney has to ours.  Sydney is always a happy joyful dog and brings smiles to all our neighbors.  A few months ago we met another Whispering Winds dog and his owner (Ozzie and Beth) at the Marymoor dog park.  It was the usual  "what breed is your dog and where did you get him" and we realized that both Ozzie and Sydney were both Whispering Winds puppies.  Beth generously gave us the frisbee (Sydney was having a great time with it) and since then she has gotten quite good at catching it.

Hi Gail,
I just wanted you to know that we had to say goodbye to our beloved Dusty. We had a Vet come to the house today to peacefully put him to sleep. He had a tumor of the heart and it was becoming very difficult to breathe. This is the post that I did today - I just wanted to let you know. We are incredibly sad but so thankful for the years we had together.Thank you for this beautiful dog and we are thankful we still have Duke and coco to comfort us.
Xoxo Debbie Nagpal and Family
The 2nd photo is of all 4 dogs - and the 3rd one to the right in the photo is Murray - my dad and Becky got from you 8 years ago. They came for a visit last month and all dogs were together. Quite a group and all from Whispering Winds. Thank you for so many beautiful and loving dogs! Coco - the one all the way to the right was the only girl and she sure holds her own with all the boys.
We hope you are doing well. A sad day in our family today but trying to let all the wonderful memories comfort us.

Hey Gail,
We are finally settling in, she’s still a very anxious girl but weighed in a 9 lbs this past week. And she is doing better with meals and less throwing up since we give her cooked green beans which are her favorite by far. I was hoping that we could get a picture of her dad Jubilee Sir Charles for our photos. She got her first groom yesterday since she couldn’t see very well and she’s definitely looking a lot like Mom Gracie.
Thank you!

You are an empty nester!   At least for a few weeks!

Yesterday Bill sat down to play the piano for a bit and Cubby went running downstairs and jumped up on the piano bench
right next to Bill.  I ran to get the camera and was laughing so hard I didn't get any really good pictures but here are a couple.  He just sat there while Bill continued to play.....Bill asked him if he liked the music and Cubby gave him a big wet kiss!
We both swear...Cubby is a real person wearing this beautiful red doodle coat!

Hi Gail-
Wanted to check in and let you know how beautifully and easily Wessex has transitioned into our family.  She is just a bundle of fluff and puppy joy.
Paper training is great.  She already loves to fetch her toys & snuggle.  I’m trying to be disciplined around crate training but it’s so precious having her climb into our lap & doze.
While she’s been outside- we haven’t allowed her on the sidewalks.   Major break through with our 8 yr old Ginger (think it’s Wessex’s great aunt) yesterday- they played a bit and there’s less growling on Ginger’s part.  We make sure Ginger knows that she’s the  Queen and our heart is large enough to love them both.
Enjoy these pics- and thank you for entrusting her with us.  Every day feels like Xmas since she arrives!

Dear Gail,
We love  our Prince Harry and Lando.
You gave us the most beautiful smart and kind dogs. We love them so much and I think they are very  happy. They are so good to one another too and really the best of friends. Harry cleans Lando’s ears and teeth and Lando helps Harry be more flexible. Harry is a little bit of the rebel who knows the rules and breaks them a little bit but loves very deeply and is sensitive but brave. Lando is a complete rule follower and we are so touch by his genuine sweetness.
Our old friends will be receiving Yuki soon and we are so happy for them. Their daughter Yoshi is a lovely girl who my daughter Brooke has been friends with since nursery school. They are a wonderful living and close family. I know they will take good care of Yuki.
Thank you, Gail for bringing joy to people through your incredible dogs. They are each small miracles. We often talk about getting a third, but I think it will be a little while. I told the girls I would consider it if we have a house one day... we’ll see.
We hope you and your family are well.
Warm Regards,
Lee

She’s a doll. We can't believe she is ours. She is adapting well, sleeping all night, playing hard with us and by herself and such a confident little girl. Though she has some gray in the face, she continues to run around on our walks and jump like a puppy at the mention of a treat. She is by far the most kind natured, calm, sweet, funny, gentle and sassy dog we have ever had and I have grown such a bond with her. I thought I would send you some photos as I know Raven was quite dear to you.
I am forever grateful we chose to go through Whispering Winds when choosing a dog. I don’t know what I would do without her. Because of Raven, I have grown to be more patient and empathetic.
Have a lovely evening,
Raven & Audrey

Hi Gail,
We ran into someone who said you still have a website. I’ve been meaning to give you an update on our sweet Ari so now it’s easy.
Ari turns 6 on 2/18. We absolutely love her and she is a part of every day. Her favorite things are chasing the ball and swimming so I’ve included pictures of her doing that. She doesn’t like the rain but otherwise loves to hike, swim and take walks multiple times a day. Everything you told us about this breed is true. She came self taught- no need for classes- and she’s so tuned into us..yet independent as well.
We couldn’t have found a more intelligent, calm, funny,  loving and beautiful dog than Ari. You can be sure she is loved and well taken care of.
We hope you and your husband are doing well,
Best,
Renee

Here is a happy snap of Darbi (left) and Cubby! (Albeit a bit blurry...it is an "action shot"!)  Wherever we toss ANY toy, the race is on to see who gets it first!
If it is one of the string tug toys, they always bring it back together...so connected these two...we love them so much!
Stormy rainy weather, so lots of indoor play time...and some napping too!

Gail,
We just love Rocky!  I keep telling everyone Rocky was 6 and was told he’s been 6 for a long time.  Turns out he turns 10 this year!! I can’t believe it.  I just want to thank you for breeding such healthy wonderful dogs.  Rocky has been such an important part of our family for almost 10 years!  His health has been outstanding.
Thanks you ever so for your superior breeding.  We could not have a better family pet.

Hello Gail, wanted to send you a picture of our sweet Finley.  He is now 5 years old. He’s the best little dood!!! He sure loves sleeping in the bed with his big brother and loves chasing after balls outside.  He’s a joy to us and we love him so. We hope you are doing well.  Love the Reynolds’ Family from Tennessee

Hi Gail,
Happy New Year!  Here’s Sydney, she was born November 28 2015...we can’t believe she’s already 5!
She’s amazing and the love of our lives.  We thank you every day, we could not imagine life without her.
I decided just to check your website and it looks like you are still in business...I had thought you retired?
We are in the “serious thinking “ mode of getting a second Labradodle.
We love the Parti color...however color is not our main driver, temperament & personality is most important to us.  Do you ever have Parti puppies?
Hope this note finds you safe & healthy.

Hi Gail,
Happy new year! I just wanted to say thank you for raising such wonderful dogs. Hattie has been such a bright light in 2020 and I can’t imagine life without her.
She is a very happy dog and loves running around the park as much as cuddling on the couch. She especially loves getting to see her “cousins” Max and Milly frequently, and her puppy energy has made 12 y/o Milly play like a young pup again!
Happy new year, looking forward to seeing the 2021 litters.

Hi Gail and Denise,
We just want to say thank you for the wonderful puppies you bring to this world.
Luna settled in very well with us and seems very happy. We all enjoy her company, her fresh, curious, joyful and energetic way to live her life with us.
She loves to give cuddles, especially in the morning, when she wakes up and surely LOVES being cuddled by all of us.
She is not afraid of heights and really likes the city and lake view from the 54th floor.
You did a great job raising your puppy.
She goes on her own to her crate at night and the housebreaking was so easy. She had few accidents the first few days with us, very few more (one or two a week) the first month with us and none afterwards. We have a couple of real grass big mats on our balcony and at the beginning, when it was warmer and the door was open, she was going there on her own when she needed and now, that it’s much colder and the door is closed, she rings the bells hanging on the handle to let us know when she needs to go potty on the the terrace or just need some fresh air. In this way we don’t have to take her to the park so often and even once or twice a day seems enough and we can choose when it’s best to be outside with her (mostly when it’s nicer and warmer).
Luna is so smart and learns and adapts so quickly to our lifestyle that all my worries about coping with this brand new experience for all of us are gone. It’s like having a super curious baby that follows me everywhere, growing and learning so quickly that leaves me speechless in wonder sometimes.
She already learned with us some basic commands ( sit, down, stay, off, fetch, drop it, no, roll over) but we are still working on the heel command. She likes to pull when she walks on a leash. She is very good when we practice these commands at home but when we are outdoors, she is more excited and interested in what’s happening all around her, trying to find another dog to play with and she doesn’t follow our instructions.
We shouldn’t forget she is still a young puppy exploring the outside world for the first times.
As you predicted, we never use the playpen. So far we never left her alone in the apartment and when I leave, I take her with me or I leave her with my kids or with my husband. However, she is so attached to me that when she sees me leaving, she complains and cries for a minute or two before someone of my family comes to the door and engage her in some other activity. ( play, cuddles)...
I don’t know if this is a kind of separation anxiety or just sadness to see me leaving. Anyway, when I come back she is so happy to see me again and I can’t imagine now entering the apartment without her swinging her tail around us, welcoming us back home. She makes me smile every time I walk the door. I can’t imagine our life without her now.
She brought us lots of  happiness, joy and love into our life!
I can’t thank you all enough for this gift!
She is so precious! Adopting Luna has been one of the best choices of our life.
Wishing you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Warmly,
Milena, Emanuele, Leonardo , Sofia and Luna

Dear Gail,
Angus is now 10 going on 5.  He is such an amazing dog and one of the top 3 we have had in 50 years of constant dog ownership. He is amazingly smart, kisses every dog he meets and just an all around joy. Except for some irritable bowel he is perfectly healthy.
Thank you for being such amazing breeders.

HI Gail,

A photographer came to our home a year ago July and captured this sweet photo of Moon. She was 7 here, but is almost 8 1/2 now! She is a special little dog, of course you already know this.  She enjoys her playmate, Gracie, so much. They are an inseparable twosome and we can’t imagine having one without the other.  We’re heading to my mom’s house tomorrow, and they’ll get to spend time with Abby (which Gracie loves!).  Moon would rather rest than put up with the shinanigans of the younnger two.

We hope you and Wayne are doing well and enjoying a slower pace of life these days.

Hi Gail! I hope you and your family are doing well in this crazy new normal. Hoping everyone has stayed healthy.

I just had to send along a photo of our whispering winds labradoodles. They are all doing well and just the best!

Duke is 5 years, Coco 1 year and Dusty is 11 1/2 years.

They are just the best dogs!! All have very different personalities and that surely makes life fun. Every day is brighter because of their love and loyalty.

Just wanted to update you and wish you all the best!!

Hi Gail...
Hope you aren't "choking" from all the smoke from fires in Oregon and Northern California!  Here are a couple of happy snaps of Darbi & Cubby.  Yesterday they had their Spa visit and Cubby got his first "Big Boy" haircut!  Isn't he cute?  He is so good, the groomer (who also trains dogs) said he was very well behaved.  They said Darbi clearly adores him and whined when she couldn't see him.....it must be true love! They make us smile every day!
Cubby weighed in at 19.5 Lbs. and Darbi weighed 27 Lbs.  He is almost as tall as Darbi too!
Love all around!

We are even more in love with our little Rufus boy than when we first brought him home, if that's even possible!  He is the PERFECT dog, we could not have wished for better!  I always get comments when I'm out with him that we share the same hair color LOL!  I always tell them, "Well, he IS my son!"
We celebrated Rufus's second birthday yesterday in style!

Cubby rec'd his 2nd shot today and had his first meeting with our Vet.
The whole office is totally in love with our little man!
I couldn't be in with him for the exam....they come out and p/u the pet
from you to take inside....then a tech returns them.
Dr. Sheri (our Vet) brought him back to me personally and sang his praises
for at least 5 minutes!  Her notes on his ck-up sheet say everything is perfect!
He weighed 8 lb. .02...and we can see he is growing.
She couldn't get over how mellow and sweet he is. I told her his first person "Mama Gail"
brings out the best in each of these little gifts...she was enthralled and says "I love him already!"
Here are a couple of snaps!  Thank you again for the perfect little pup!
Love you!

Hey Gail!
The Rudolph family hopes you’re doing well! We celebrated Quincy’s 8th birthday on Thursday, May 28th and it has been the best 8 years ever. We all agree that adopting him from you was the best decision we’ve ever made!

Quincy is an absolute love sponge, he cuddles up with anybody and everybody every chance he gets. When he’s not cuddling, he always wants to play and we are so thankful that he still has so much energy! We get compliments on how cute he is every time we go out, too (he loves the attention almost as much as we do). Thank you so much for providing us with our intelligent, loyal, and attention-obsessed family member!

Hi Gail
I hope you’re well. I want to let you know Gunner is slowing down but doing well. He’s 15.5 years old. He goes to physical therapy once per week but likes getting spoiled by the vet techs. My boys are grown now and only Sam is home (Sam was two when Gunner joined our family) but when the boys return on school breaks, Gunner lights up. He has brought us so much joy. He loves boating, hiking, and hanging out with anyone of us at home. We all love him! He is the best thing that’s happened to us. We celebrate his birthday every year (10-30-04). Winter was rough on him this year but he made it through. We’re looking forward to summer and the fun things we do together.
Thank you for connecting us with Gunner. You named him and he stayed Gunner. We love our Gunner Boy!
Hugs to all of you at Whispering Winds. This picture is Gunner on Christmas Day 2019!

You probably don’t remember us but my name is Lynne and I picked up Berkly from you in March 2005. I can’t believe Berkly (originally Beamer) will be 15 on November 19! She is my best friend and sweet companion that I love with all my heart. I wanted to thank you for allowing me to pick her up and bring her to Canada so long ago.
Thanks again Gail and hope you are enjoying your retirement!

Hi Gail,
I can’t believe we’ve had Anabelle (Chloe/Taz) for 12 years. She is my heart and my best friend. She and Gidget (Candy Apple/Red Ryder) get along wonderfully as you can see. Gidget is absolutely devoted to her. (Also she will panic if she doesn’t know where she is.) They make me laugh every single day.

Hi Gail,
I hope you are doing well and are enjoying retirement! I was very happy to hear that Denise has joined Whispering Winds.
"Oliver Twist" came home almost 3 years ago from Whispering Winds. Ollie has blossomed into a sweet and playful little guy and I am thankful for him every single day. I've attached a few pics of him then and now. Thank you again for such an incredible little guy!
All the best,

Sydney is growing and learning every day.  She loves running around in the backyard and hanging out in the garden.  Every leaf and stick is a new adventure and toy.  We  enrolled her in an obedience class and after two classes she graduated to the next level even though she is the youngest in the class. We "dance" every morning. I dance (jump around) and sing (not everyone in the house agrees it is singing but Sydney doesn’t care) and she twirls and jumps around on her hind legs with me - the only caveat is that she is not allowed to jump on me.  She was at the vet this week and is a few ounces short of six pounds.

Hi Gail
Hope you are well. I just took this picture and thought I would forward it to you. Maddie and Jackson are still doing fabulous. They are ten and eleven; it’s amazing how quick time flies. Gail,
Just wanted to let you know that all is well with Beau and Aussie, I think it took Aussie a few days to figure out that Beau was here to stay but she has really taken to him and they are great pals.  I took Aussie to day care one day this week and when we got home, Beau was just so excited to see her.  It was really cute.

We love having the two of them!

Hi Gail
Just wanted to let you know that Bertie is off to a great start.  We had an uneventful car ride home.  Charlie is still ignoring her a bit but getting used to her.  Our son and his girl friend came for dinner so she got lots of play time before bed.  She slept in her crate beside me in the basement.  We went to bed between 9:30 and 10 and she slept all night.  I finally woke her at 6 to go outside.  She didn’t even stir when I have to get up in the night to go to the bathroom!!!  She is lovely and seems to be settling in really well.
Take care

Hi Gail,  I wanted to let you know that Sydney is doing great.  I can't believe how easy going and fun she is.  Normal household noise does not bother her all.  Dishwasher, vacuum cleaner, garbage disposal - they just cause her to tilt her head and then ignore it. The lawn mower did concern her a little.  We took her to meet my nieces yesterday and they were having a sleepover with three other girls.  I was concerned that five ten year old girls would be overwhelming for Sydney and was prepared to remove her if necessary.  Instead Sydney saw the girls and viewed this as "party time" and ran right into the group to play.  It was a love fest and mutual adoration.  No problems with crate training - thank you for getting her started.  Will keep you updated.

Hi Gail,
We are enjoying the snowy afternoon and I thought you might enjoy some new pictures of Sherman, the worlds best boy pup!  I have told you before but he is everything you said he would be and more.  Happy, loves everyone, and brings me joy every day.  I include a video of he and Lexie having a wonderful play which is a common thing, he has been so good for her!

Picture
Hi Gail,
Alas, doodles do love the snow!  Rufus can't seem to get enough of it!  We put balm on his paws to protect them, but had no idea the snow fur balls that would gather on his legs LOL!  We called him the abominable snow dog!  Rufus enjoyed the warm baths to melt the snow balls, but then right back out he wanted to go!  We so enjoy seeing his sibling updates in your photos of the day!  My husband and I were saying how we'd like to take Rufus to Marymoor Park one weekend in the hopes of running into his brother Ozzie!  What a treat that would be for them!  I would be so curious to see if they remembered each other!
We couldn't love Rufus any more than we already do - he is our treasure!  Thank you so much for bringing this 'not so little' guy into our lives!
Summer and Jeff
P.S. (on a side note), we think Rufus is now probably 22-23 pounds if not more - his last vet visit he was 20.5 and that was a month ago!  He is due for his neuter mid-march, our vet wanted to wait till he was 6 months.  We had his blood drawn etc..  We will keep you up to date!!
Stay warm!

Picture
Gail,
Ozzie loves the snow! He hops like a bunny through the drifts, barks at falling flakes and absolutely loves to go on walks. He is absolutely perfection. He had three walks today and is nestled on my lap on top of the electric blanket. I think he loves us as much as we love him!

He has changed our lives! Thank you!

Hi Gail,
We celebrated Ozzie’s fifth (month!) Birthday this weekend. He is absolutely the love of our lives. Each morning we head to Marymoor dog park where we spend a good hour (most days longer) watching Ozzie play with his friends, chase birds, or run wild through the tall grass. In the afternoon we grab the leash and walk around our neighborhood. His best friend is a husky/lab mix named Skye. They are super bonded. On the weekends he joins my daughter and me at the barn where he runs in the field and plays with the other pups there. He is very curious about horses!
Ozzie loves to cuddle and is incredibly loving to each of us. We are all over the moon! Thank you so much for entrusting us to care for him. He is such a special little boy.
We keep Ozzie groomed and clipped short because he likes to bring home a bunch of mud from the park. Look at those eyelashes!
Ozzie is a walking advertisement for Whispering Winds. I am stopped daily by people needing to know about you
Have a happy week,
Beth

Hi Gail,
Happy New Year!  It’s the annual Ranger & Lewis update... They had a busy and fun 2018.
Ranger & Lewis love our camping trips, boating weekends, grilling in the backyard with friends, our road trips, and our occasional hiking adventure.
In December, Ranger turned 4 years old and Lewis turned 3 years old a few days apart.  (I can’t belive it’s been 4 years ago that I found Whispering Winds.)
We just love the boys!
Wishing you and your family a Happy 2019.

Hi Gail,
We hope you and your husband had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I wanted to give you an update on our wonderful Rufus!  Can you believe he's over 14 pounds now!  He's growing so fast (I need him to slow down until after my plane trip with him in the cabin LOL!). He is learning so quickly!  We can't get over how smart our little guy is!  After four weeks, he now sits by the door when he has to go potty (no accidents in almost a week).  He can also finally walk down our porch steps, so he trots down, does his business and comes back up.  We're thinking it's too good to be true - but we'll take it!  He has been sleeping though the night in his crate pretty consistently after the first couple of weeks.  I've only ever had to get up to take him out 2 or 3 times in the first couple of weeks, and not at all in the last 2 weeks!  He knows sit, very close to getting lie down and my daughter taught him shake during her visit home from college (they adore each other!). We're still working on the puppy biting, but he's getting better and gentler and he's getting much more used to the sounds of the city.  He's also becoming more friendly and trusting of new people and children.  We can see that he is quickly turning into the most perfect companion (he is still super cuddly too). We're so grateful to have him in our lives and so grateful to you for producing such stellar pups!
Take care,
Summer

Hi Gail,
It was really nice to finally meet you and Wayne as well.  You were spot on when you said Toby was really mellow and friendly.  Toby was a dream traveller!  She really liked her travel bag and she enjoyed sticking her head out of her travel bag and watching the people on the plane go by.  She also slept.  She did not have to go to the bathroom and she did not make any noise at all.  Lots of people on the plane asked to take pictures of her and several people in the waiting area asked where she came from.  She didn't seem scared at all.
We introduced Toby to Baci in the car and they are getting along really well.  Baci really enjoys her new sister.  They play nicely together and Toby loves to fetch balls, toys, etc.  Toby seems to think Baci's tail is something she can chew on which is funny to watch.  Baci doesn't seem to mind -- at the moment.  Toby also runs pretty fast!   Toby is also quick study -- she's already gone to the bathroom a number of times outside and we taught her the "paw" command.
You probably heard about our snow fall yesterday!  Toby seemed confused as to what was happening and why it was suddenly so cold!  Currently, her biggest challenge is getting used to the city noise and sights.  I remember it took Baci awhile to acclimate as well.  Hopefully the housebreaking will come quickly!  (FYI - The "Go Potty" command isn't working that well for us.  Also, how long does it take before she poops after she eats? (Could you refresh my memory as to what you say again?))
Tom and I are loving Toby - she is a sweet pup with a friendly, calm, loving temperament.  It's fun to see how quickly she learns!   Attached are a few pictures and videos!
Keep in touch!
Best, Amy and Tom

Hi Gail!
I just wanted to let you know that Rufus is adjusting to his new life beautifully. He definitely has more energy and confidence now that he’s comfortable in his new environment. We definitely need to watch him around our shoes (his favorite place to hang) LOL!  We’re socializing him in puppy classes in Seattle and begin training tomorrow. He already knows fetch and sit and potty training is coming along - he sleeps through the night in his crate! Only a couple times I’ve had to get up at 3ish to take him outside. He is our absolute love.

Hi Gail,
It’s been one wonderful and very full week with Ozzie (the kids liked the ie better- what do I know?!)
He has grown before our eyes - I’ll try and weigh him today. He instantly became a part of our family and I can see that he loves us all deeply already.
The crate training is going well. He gets up about 1 and then when I get up at 5:30. He is making his potties almost exclusively outside. ( we take him outside every hour)
He got to meet the yard guys and listened to the blower and mower (he still is getting used to loud noises) and he has been very excited about playing ball and racing in the back yard. I’m very excited to have him have all of his shots so we can start going to places with other dogs. He did have a puppy play date with a puppy his age this week and they wore each other out. There is a puppy play date place in Seattle I might try this week.
He still wants to use his puppy teeth (ouch!) so we have some toys and kongs kept in the freezer. He has been very *helpful* when folding laundry - especially socks!
We love him deeply. My mother is visiting now from NC and she is so very impressed with Ozzie and the level of care you provided. Thank you!
Beth

Hi Gail,
I hope you are doing well.  Every time we give your contact information out people later tell us how grateful they are that we gave them a way to get a puppy as awesome as our Ozzy (not that that is easy!).  I attached a couple recent picture of Ozzy- he looks (body type like his mother Alyssa but coloring and face like his father, Redd Rider).
I have two questions for you:
1)  Do litter-mates ever do a reunion?  I would love to have a virtual reunion of the other dogs from Ozzy's litter.  There were 9 of them I recall.
2) We are thinking about a second one but specifically would like one that will almost assuredly be under 25lbs.  Even 20 lbs would be great.  Are you breeding any pups like that and, if so, how long to get one?
Best,
Doug

Hi Gail I realize how long it has been since I sent a photo of Sherman Junior now 3.5. He is such a lovely silly boy and reminds me of his bouncy happy Mom Ally all the time.

He has had a bit of tummy troubles but we are managing it the best we can and he remains a happy playful pup.

Thought you might enjoy these recent photos.

Hope you are enjoying semi retirement but hope you will keep your smaller breeding program going as there is no doubt I would love another of your wonderful pups in the future. But two dogs is plenty for now!  Lol

Dear Gail,
Tony and I (the Bougere’s from Avon, CT) have been meaning to let you know how much we adore our Zoey, who just turned 3 in April and how happy we are to have her in our family. She is 15 pounds, a perfect size for us, and is still a lovely apricot color, but has some white coming in. Since her mother was white, I wonder if we can expect her to turn all white?

She is sweet, gentle, playful, smart, fun loving, and very affectionate. She has a great nose and tracks all the outside smells with much focus! Our friends and family have all fallen in love with her as well. They call her”the perfect dog”.

We have a two year old grandson and she is gentle with him,  running away as he chases her around and around.

We completed Puppy Socialization when she was little, and then Family Dog 1 training and have started Family Dog 2 and AKC Good Citizen Training. She just loves to go to class.

We hope you are enjoying your retirement. We are glad to hear that Denise is continuing with your wonderful business. We love our retirement and are so happy to share it with Zoey. We can’t thank you enough, Gail. Having her has enriched our lives so much.

Hi Gail,

It’s been years since I sent you any pictures of Jake. He turned 6 this weekend. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I love him more then anything in this world. Thank you so much for him. I thought you would enjoy some of his birthday photos. We made him a doggy birthday cake (pictured below). Bailey also enjoyed the cake. He turned 11 in March and still acts like a puppy it’s crazy. He does have this little wart things all over his body but the vet says it’s nothing to worry about. Have any of the other dogs gotten this? I would love to see pics of his brothers and sisters if you have them.

Hi Gail,
I hope you are doing well.  Our great little dog, who you might remember as Ricky Bobby but is actually called Ozzy, is the best. He is an amazing guy (I think mother Alicia and father Redd Rider).  He will be 4 years old on June 21st.

You may have heard from a lot of people in NYC as we are constantly getting compliments on Ozzy's cuteness, friendliness and general awesomeness. I am constantly giving out your website as well as your name and even if 25% of the people follow through you must be getting tons of calls based on people meeting Ozzy. The most recent were the brother and sister-in-law of our best friends, Paul and Deb, who recently adopted Ziggy from you.

Dear Gail,
It's been quite a while since I sent you an update on Tazzle, the 'wonderdog,' as he is affectionately known. He continues to be loved wherever we move or travel to. We're currently living in San Antonio, TX, after moving from Austin, TX, to Westport, CT, and Aspen, CO in the past couple years. We went to Wales last year for my sister-in-law’s wedding and brought Taz. He LOVED the UK and spent a lot of time gardening with my father-in-law. Here are some photos of him on the beach and in the wedding:

All grown up. Happy and much loved. The Roarks

Oh my goodness.  We’re in love with our pup!  She is the best puppy ever!  She’s now bigger than Moon.  Loves everyone who comes to visits and generously gives them kisses.  Everyone is just in love with her and thinks she is the “cutest puppy in the world”.

I have no doubt we did the right move in getting a puppy with Moon.  Moon has been delighted from day 1 and can’t leave Gracie alone. I’m surprised that Moon happily shares her food bowl with her and they eat together at the same time (you probalby see this a lot with all of your dogs—but I have never seen this before).  I hope it is ok for both of them and that they ea get the right amount of food daily and it doesn’t become a “competition” between to eat the most.  They are inseparable and play constantly. Sometimes they get a little to “carried away”.  I’m learning how to be the strong alpha leader and keep things in check.

I took them both for a special “socializing” outing last week to our Mill Creek Town Center and our neighborhood pet store.  Everyone passing by had to ask what breed there were and rave over how darling they both are. Moon continues to win everyone’s heart over immediately with her sweet charm.

Thank you for producing such amazing labradoodles and sharing them with us. We enjoy them every day!

Blessings

Hi Gail,
I thought I should give you an update on Keely. I am so smitten, he is just wonderful.  He’s friends with everyone, especially at work. Before anyone says hello they ask if Keely is with me.  He is very comfortable on the launch when I teach Learn to Row, he falls asleep by my feet. Here’s a photo of him in his new red life jacket. This morning he decided to try the lifejacket out, he walked right off the floating dock.  That little handle was very handy while plucking him out of the water.  It didn’t seem to faze him.  Keely’s best playmate is my grandson.  He loves chasing Marcel around the yard.   Thank you so much for bring this little dog into the world for me to enjoy.  Cheers, Martha

Hi Gail,
Coco is having a great day. She is eating, drinking and playing well. Thanks again for the instructions, DVD and other things you attached on the crate!
She is such a sweet little girl who loves to play with the kids and is very well behaved.
Here is a photo with the kids taken this morning.

Thought you would enjoy a video of the boy.  He and Luca have been playing together since hour 24.  He's wonderful.  Sleeps 3-4 hours at night then promptly does his business when I take him out and then back to bed for us!

Hi Gail,
Cynder will be celebrating her 13th birthday tomorrow!  Yesterday it was an odd 75 degrees here.  We walked 2 miles.  Today it snowed.  We are out year round however and she's game in most any weather except for hard rain.  She especially loves our house up at the lake.  Great smells walking there.  She is more human than dog until she surprises you by finding a dead bird or squirrel .  Yup, kinda dog.
Hope you and Wayne are doing well in your new phase of life.
Much love,
Ilese, Craig and Cynder

Hi Gail,
It's been awhile since I updated you on the boys. I'm happy to say they are doing very well! Skippy is now 2 years old and Chip is now 4 years old.
We have moved to a new place and the boys love it here.  You can see by these two pictures that are thriving and they are both so happy!  They now share one big crate for bed and love sleeping together.  We still adore and love these two with our entire hearts!  We couldn't be happier!!!! They bring so much life and  love to our home.

Good morning!
We did celebrate Finn's birthday too. Attached are three pictures, the last one is after a morning yard inspection, a well earned dirty face.  He is truly a joyful addition to our family. He is doing well with training, all well except for attention span when other dogs appear. He travels frequently with us and all of our families enjoy having him along.

Here is Tiffany, one year old.  She is such a treasure.  And such a very good girl. We love her.  Pat and Roger

Hi Gail,
So Kona is approaching her 1 year old birthday (now 11 months old).  I just wanted to tell you she is the sweetest, smartest dog I have ever known and I am so happy with her in my life.  We have taken several puppy training classes and she is remarkable.  At 11 months, she knows: sit, off, stay, wait, down (as in ‘lie down’), come, heel, shake, stay close, gentle, no, give, and ‘go to your mat (those last two are ones we are still working on).  She knows people’s names, like my son’s.  And she understands “Go drink some water”, “do you want to go for a walk”, “you get to come with me” and “you have to stay here.”.  Seriously, she is scary smart.  She has me well trained.  She is quite small (18 pounds), and I think she won’t grow much more.  But she is the perfect size for me and my condo.  I love her big dog attitude and friendliness in her little dog body!
Best wishes,
Julie
PS_ Many people ask me where I got her!  The “Austrailan Labradoodle” is a big hit in the neighborhood.

Hi Gail,
I just noticed that about 11 months have gone since we collected Miah (Originally called Blossom) I just wanted to let you know how she is doing.
She has adjusted so well and really is the perfect family addition.  I'm convinced that so much of her great personality is to do with breeding and her first few months with you....so we owe you a great debt of thanks.
I've written a recent review on google for you which obviously was 5 stars :-)
once again thanks for everything and I'm sure Miah would also thank you if she could as she so happy with us.
Here are some pictures so you can see how she's been doing.  (4th one down with her mouth open with trees in the background is the most recent taken about 3 weeks ago).
Miah and my daughter Anjuli have been inseparable for the last 11 months.

Hi Gail,
Here’s Quinn at almost 10 months.  He just had a grooming and is looking so handsome.
Quinn weighs 16 pounds, is curly not wavy, and  loves to play catch and fetch. He is such a
loving, gentle and well behaved puppy.  We got lucky!

Here are some more cute pics of our sweet girl!
We thank you so much for being so careful about temperament. Yes she's adorable but what's even better is how smart and good natured she is..rarely barks, and is officially a therapy dog with a few of my clients. I see a woman who's 84 who lost her husband after over 60 years of marriage and Ari cheers her up!

Hi Gai!,
It is hard to believe Anabelle (Chloe/Taz) turned ten yesterday. (Special litter I see at the top of your site page! ;).....here she is enjoying a Birthday toy. She is my best friend, my little girl. Brings laughter to my mom and me everyday and sticks by Gidget (and vice versa). They're spoiled to pieces!!!
We hope you're having fun in your retirement and enjoying all your doggies! ❤️ to Chloe.

Hi Gail,
We hope you are enjoying retirement. Thank you so much for all the care you gave Rolo before we picked her up. She is the sweetest dog anyone could ask for. She has certainly grown out of her shell and loves to play with every dog she meets. She is incredibly calm and everyone mentions how she is the most relaxed puppy they have ever met! She brings so much love into our house and we couldn't be happier.
She's become a mini-Instagram star as well! @RoloRugelach

Hello Gail and Wayne,
Just wanted to share a cute photo of our amazing and beautiful Bear. We are so in love with him!  He is calm and cuddly and sweet and very smart. He won the behaviors challenge at puppy preschool for doing the most behavior commands in 2 minutes!  We feel so fortunate to have this amazing dog. Hoping your next litter is another one of Bessie and Walker pups. They were all so beautiful and I am sure just as amazing as brother Bear.
Hoping to visit in the coming year when my friend Nina chooses her puppy.
Many thanks,
Tara

Thought you might like an update on this guy - in a word he's awesome.  Growing like a weed - kind of a lanky teenager right now.  Still follows the cat around waiting for her to play but she just ignores him.  He's such a joy - good boy all around.  And he seems to love having his picture taken - actually sits there and poses for me.  We took him on a road trip to California to do some work on my Mom's home and he now knows where all the rest areas are and what to do in them.  Great little traveler - sits right there in the back seat where we made a bed for him in the truck, and watches everything or sleeps.  Good in hotels too.  Every day he amazes both of us - I've had lots of puppies and dogs and I have to say, he's the best puppy I've ever had.   We're so glad we got him!

Hi Gail,

I just heard the good news...you are retiring!  Congratulations!  I must say you have certainly bred many fabulous dogs!  What is one to do now when one is ready for another Labradoodle?  ;-). Nothing will ever compare to your wonderful Whispering Winds Labradoodles.  BUT with that said, you certainly deserve to take time for you and retire.  I am truly thrilled for you!

Attached you will find a picture of our family along with our sweet Goldilocks.  Goldilocks is now two and we love her more and more each day.  She is truly the best dog!  So loving and so easy!  We count our blessings everyday that Goldilocks is a part of our family.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for breeding such a fabulous dog!  Truly the best!

btw...any retired dogs up for adoption?

Again, congratulations on your retirement.  Enjoy your new found free time!

With much love,

Charlene Robinson

Dear Gail,
So sorry you are retiring. Angus is one of the best dogs we have ever had. He is now six and thriving. We love him. He was supposed to weigh 40 pounds but is only 27 which is perfect.

I just wanted you to know (although you already know this) that Belle is wonderful. This picture was taken right before she managed to take this sweater off, including the leastic around the back legs. The name "Belle" is now taking on a humorous tone, given her nature of getting into mischief, looking as cute as can be while doing it. perhaps a ribbon in her hair will do the trick.
Thank you Gail.

Hope you are well.

Hello Gail
I was saddened to read that you're going to retire from breeding. People always ask us where we got Cosmo, and we can't praise you enough to them.
Cosmo has been a complete joy.
He's intuitive--he sticks close to whoever isn't feeling well or just needs some love.
He's fun and smart- We take him to nosework class, where he has to find things by scent. He's amazing at it. When we want to stimulate him at home, we ask him for a specific toy (he knows them by name) he'll bring it and then has to "hide his eyes" while we hide the toy, and then he has to "search" for it.
He's easy--if we're busy or unable to do things with him, he's content to stay quietly on his own. But he's always ready to do something when we are.
Here's a recent photo of Cosmo. We are so grateful to have him in our lives. We wish you well in your retirement. You've earned it.
warmly,
Francesca (Don and Cosmo too)

Hi Gail,
Congrats on semi-retiring!
I have a co-worker who fell in love with Ranger and Lewis at a weekend camping trip this past summer.
They would like to find a breeder and reached out to me yesterday... I'm unsure where to suggest they go now that you're semi-retired.
Who should I recommend?  Is there someone in Washington or Oregon you would recommend for the Australian Labradoodle (mini/small breed).
I continue to educate folks when they ask about my sweet boys and the breed.
Ranger and Lewis are amazing... Ranger turned 2 years old in December and Lewis turned a year.... where has the time gone?
They get along great!  It's fun to watch them play... they have different personalities but are both so sweet and loving.
Lewis likes to cuddle and doesn't want to miss out when his brother is around.  Ranger, although misses his brother when he's not by his side, enjoys a bit of quiet time to himself.
You can see Lewis in the background of Rangers picture...he always wants to know what his brother is doing.  And, I think Ranger's says... really, another picture?
We can't imagine our lives without both of our boys, so glad we decided to add Lewis to our family.
Hope 2017 is treating you well and you are enjoying (semi) retired life!
Warmly,
Sharon, Denny and...Ranger & Lewis too

Hi Gail, Just thought of you and hope you are enjoying your new retirement. We are so grateful to have Abby. She has added so much life into our home.

This is the toy you sent home with her, still her favorite !

Just a little size comparison. Tilly is still my little lap nugget at 20# and Marley thinks he is but is equally comfortable at my feet..now weighing in at 39#. Is he the largest of his siblings? I'm quite happy with him but think he may be one of the larger dogs you've bred.
