Hello Gail,
I hope all is well with you! Last week, my husband and I celebrated Brunswick's 2nd birthday! He has been such a great addition to our family and complete joy in our lives. I don't know how you did it, but it seems as if he came to us already potty-trained and has picked up on many new commands and tricks since he's joined us. He's definitely the smartest, cutest, and most loving dog we've ever had and we're forever grateful that we were able to adopt through you.
Best,
Pamela and Desmond

Hi Gail,
I saw that you had a litter recently. I am glad that you aren’t fully retired! BamBam (born 7/31/05 to Lulu and YumYum) is now 12 and a half, and he is still very much a puppy! Just wanted to share this holiday photo with you. Hope all is going well and that you keep having litters!
All the best,
Pam
2/3/18

Gail, as you are retiring, we just want to thank you, and to let you know what a wonderful member of the family  we have in Maggie Sue (nee "Biscuit" on April 12, 2015).  Lauren and I have not lived with a dog in 40 or 50 years. We always had two or more cats until 20-year old Luki passed away 5 weeks before Maggie was born.
Not only is Maggie beautiful, she has such a lovely soul, just loves everyone, and she is beloved by so many people!  She adores her half-sister Eevee Watson (both have Candy Apple as their mom)!  From the moment this little 7 pound darling (now 23 pounds!) entered our lives, she has truly changed us, in so many wonderful ways!  Of course, we walk with her - lots of exercise, and love to play with her!
She has us trained as well, and finds ways of communication (such as tapping the springy doorstop - boinging sound - when she wants to go out).  She loves watching dogs on the television, and whimpers when she sees a dog in distress!
We thank you for her crate training, she adapted quite well to her new surroundings.  She still loves her "Maggie" blanket, and the little "donkey Kong" you sent with her.  Friends, family and neighbors have kept her toy supply quite plentiful!  What amazes us is how intuitive and smart she is - she has a "vocabulary" of so many words!  She can discriminate between her many toys, knows the possum from the cat, the dragon, the jellyfish and the squid, and understands commands like "go downstairs/upstairs/outside" and picks up patterns very quickly.
She also is intuitive about people, loves kids, friends and neighbors and is a very good watch dog - barking once or twice to alert us that someone is at our gate.
When a stranger came over the fence and into our yard one night (we keep the front gate locked), she barked in a different, more menacing way, and when we opened the door to see what was happening, she ran out  and we saw a very different Maggie, who was protecting her pack.  She snarled and growled, but she did not bite him, and he quickly ran out of the yard.  It hasn't happened since then.
In closing, we wish you a wonderful retirement, and if you are ever in San Jose, please stop by!
Best regards,
Jean and Lauren

Hello Gail
I was saddened to read that you're going to retire from breeding. People always ask us where we got Cosmo, and we can't praise you enough to them.
Cosmo has been a complete joy.
He's intuitive--he sticks close to whoever isn't feeling well or just needs some love.
He's fun and smart- We take him to nosework class, where he has to find things by scent. He's amazing at it. When we want to stimulate him at home, we ask him for a specific toy (he knows them by name) he'll bring it and then has to "hide his eyes" while we hide the toy, and then he has to "search" for it.
He's easy--if we're busy or unable to do things with him, he's content to stay quietly on his own. But he's always ready to do something when we are.
Here's a recent photo of Cosmo. We are so grateful to have him in our lives. We wish you well in your retirement. You've earned it.
warmly,
Francesca (Don and Cosmo too)

Wanted to send you some recent photos of Finley.  We love him so much!  Hard to believe he's already 10 months old.  He's the smartest little guy and he loves taking naps with mom and playing with his big brother and sister.  He's already been to the beach twice and he definitely others loves the sand!!
Hope y'all are doing great!

Hi Gail,
We've had Albert for few months now and were loving it. He has a very different personality then Zoey, but both of them have been fabulous additions to our family. I just wanted to send you a picture of Albert after his first visit to the salon.  He'll be 5 months tomorrow.

Hi Gail,
I just wanted to check in with you to let you know all is going well with Emma. I want to thank you for taking good care of her in her first 8 weeks, thank your husband for her safe delivery to the airport, and thank you for providing everything I needed (paperwork, suggestions and instructions) as we begin our journey together. Thank you so much for all that you do!

She is such a delight! She is already sleeping through the night in her crate, has not had any house accidents, and has seamlessly fallen into the routine I have created for her. She even learned to sit in about a minute. She is so smart, cuddly and full of love. She's on her way toward being a great Therapy Dog!

It looks like you have your hands full with 13 puppies and more to come! Good luck with your new pups. You are providing lots of love for lots of families!

Sincerely,
Lynne K

Hi Gail,

I just wanted to give you a quick update on Layla.  She is doing fantastic!  In the attached she is pictured with our daughter Grace (now age 11 and in 6th grade).  The two of them spend all their time together.  I promised Grace another dog next spring so we will be in touch!  Thanks again we are so fortunate to have one of your dogs as part of our family.  She is amazing and just gets better every day!

Hi Gail,

Thank you so much for the time you and family spent (early morning times; we did take notice) raising Flower to be such a wonderful dog and the early hours you spent making Flower arrives to us safe and sound.  Flower has been the most accommodating, go-along-with-whatever and especially being so patient with our four year old.  She's such a beautiful dog and so kind natured we feel so bless to have her join our family.

We hope you'll enjoy some photos of what's happening in our house today.  We're beyond delighted.

Hi Gail,
I wanted to touch base with you to give you an update on our beautiful, lovable Presley. We originally adopted her from you as a 4 month old puppy named Penelope. We had been on a waiting list for months waiting for your fall litter. We had recently lost our beloved pet of 11 years a month earlier. When We saw Penelope's face on your dogs to adopt page, we instantly connected and fell in love. Within a few days she was delivered to us in NJ. We chose Presley as her forever name, and she instantly brought life back into our broken hearted family. I can't begin to tell you just how much we love her! My children love her and she couldn't be happier being their best girl! You have given our family a priceless gift! Thank you!

Good Morning Mrs. Gail,
Just a few updates on Nestlé, he turned 1 years old. He celebrated his birthday snowed in with cupcakes I made for dogs (I found the recipe on Pinterest) and gifts from BarkBox. We live in Wyoming now, which is a lot different from Arizona but he loves the snow. I've attached all the pictures from newest to the oldest but the second to the last picture is the most recent one. Nestlé is going to be a big brother in February 2017. We used his picture for our pregnancy announcement. I am very excited to see how he's going to be with his new sibling because he loves interacting with kids. Nestlé is a great dog, full of personality, very smart, and protective. We're starting to believe that he thinks that he's a guard dog. Again, we are very thankful to have him. He makes it so fun at home, it's never a dull moment with him. Feel free to post the pictures! Thanks again for giving us the opportunity to adopt him.
Grace & Peace to you,
The Stevens Family (Noah, Moné, Baby Stevens & Nestlé)

Hi Gail!
They are doing wonderful. So spoiled. Here they are lying on my (Donna's) lap. Gidget is a cuddler and does this a lot, but Anabelle needed her time here too. The other one was taken on Anabelle's 9th(!) birthday last Thursday. Wow I can't believe she's 9 already.
We hope you and all the doggies and the rest of your family are doing well.

The American Kennel Club awards five levels of Therapy Dog titles for dogs visiting schools, hospitals, nursing homes, retirement communities, hospice, libraries or private homes.  The first level, THERAPY DOG NOVICE (ThDN)  requires TEN documented therapeutic visits. The second, THERAPY DOG  (ThD) requires fifty.  At the level of THERAPY DOG ADVANCED (ThDA), one hundred visits are required.  To earn the Therapy Dog Excellent award (ThDX) the dog and handler team must make two hundred visits.  At the fifth  and highest level, DISTINGUISHED THERAPY DOG  (ThDD),  the  AKC demands four hundred documented visits.  The dogs earning these titles must be members of an accredited Therapy Dog organization and the person nominating them must provide documentation of their dogs' work.

Whispering Winds JIGI (VCD1, RA,  NJP.  RATCHX, THDD, CGC) and his twin brother Whispering Winds Zuzu (BN, RN, TD, NA, NAJ, RATCHX2, THDX, CGC) have both been awarded the THERAPY DOG DISTINGUISHED title.  They have each visited St. Joseph's Medical Center, the Cancer Center, Whatcom County schools,  Whatcom County Libraries, Adult Day Health,  Mt. Baker Care and various other institutions for a combined total of nine hundred certified visits. Their owner and handler, Bonnie Bird, is delighted with this honor.  Her dogs work hard and play hard and are wonderful companion animals.  They have brought solace or joy to many, many members of the community, which is the highest form of service.
We at Whispering Winds Australian Labradoodles are very proud of Bonnie, Jigi, and Zuzu for the service they have provided to the community.

Hi Gail,
I don't mean to wax poetic here, but Cleo is an amazing dog. We are so head over heels in love with her, and the feeling is mutual with whomever meets her.
Cleo is the most responsive and smartest dog. She aced her first obedience class, learns commands and just eats up any training we do with her.
And then there is the huge surprise for us (we had a super high maintenance dog a long time ago). We take Cleo with us everywhere in public. She will patiently wait outside, she can sit inside public places, and just sits or lies down without making a peep. Last week a friend walked Cleo into the Apple store where I was getting my phone fixed, and I just tested the waters to see what would happen. Cleo just lay there under the table for about 45 min and a toddler came up to her several times and Cleo patiently ignored her.
She is great with other dogs and kids, loves playing and wrestling with other dogs, and is the best cuddler with our boys and us.
Many people are surprised she is a puppy still and so mellow.
Thank you. We feel so lucky to have this dog in our lives. Our oldest son had been wanting a dog for two years. About a year ago he broke down and cried and said, "Mom, I just want a dog that will be my best friend. A dog that will love me no matter what and if I have a bad day, I can always come home to her." Well, his wishes have come true.
Best,
Jen Bandy-Phillips

Gayle,
With Louie’s 1st birthday tomorrow, I wanted to share a few photos with you and tell you what a happy family we are with him being a part of it. Louie is a sweet, loving little boy who stays under our feet constantly.  He loves to play chase with his favorite squeaky toy and ball and is very smart.  Our obedience instructor said he would be ideal for Reading with Rover.  At his doggie daycare he has many friends and is particularly fond of a female pitbull named Lonnie – his best friend. Just recently Louie found his voice and will bark if he suspects something suspicious.
Hope you and Louies parents Alyssa and Snickers are doing well.  Louie sends a big XOXO to his Whispering Winds family up north!

All the Best,

Hi Gail,

I hope you're well! I have been meaning to write you for quite some time. We are in love with Woody and he loves us. We picked him up just about one year ago (he's the son of Freckles and Redd Rider), so it seems fitting to give you the one-year update. We've attached a few pics below.

Woody is the absolute light of our lives. He completes our little family. We can't imagine life without him now. He brings SO much joy & comedy into our home. He is such a little lover, is curious, full of positive energy, and is always game to play. His favorite is fetching his ball. When he sees the pink ball come out, he's like a kid on Christmas morning. Total focus! He's so athletic and leaps HIGH into the air to make acrobatic catches. He'll bring the ball back and nose it into our hands, but never wants to let go because he loves it so much. He never wants to stop. We even had to make a 'no ball in the house' rule because he get's so excited!

He also LOVES to swim. Last June we went to Lake Crescent and gave Woody his first 'swim lesson.' We threw a stick a few feet into the water not quite knowing how he would respond to the water. Well, he jumped right in, doggy paddled out and has been a swimming fiend ever since! Every time we get near the beach (which happens a lot living just above Alki beach) he becomes so eager with excitement he starts tugging on his leash like a sled dog. He even dipped his little white paws in the Sound in November!

He is incredibly adaptable to whatever is going on in the moment and has integrated right into our home like he was destined to be here--he is a lap dog, a cuddler, a silent companion, a running buddy, and above all else a best friend--you name it, he is always by our sides and ready to give kisses! We had never met such a loving dog before in all our lives.

Woody is beyond our expectations, he is our "angel dog". Everywhere we go, people swoon and we continue to spread the good name of Whispering Winds. I am sure we'll be back…

Everyday we're amazed at what a beautiful little creature he is. Thank you Gail for introducing this wonderful soul into our lives :-)

THANK YOU!!!

Love,
Becky, Ewen & Woody

We thought you would like this picture of Bailey in her Halloween hat. I cannot tell you how in love we are with this little girl. She is the most amazing fun loving playful and cuddly puppy. I don't know how we ever lived without her.  This was taken today she is now 8.5 months old.
Hope you are doing well

Hi Gail,

Just thought it’s past time to send you an update on Jessie.  She continues to be our sweet and adorable puppy - happy and friendly and loves everyone.  She gets along fine with having three parents - she has duplicate everything in both apartment units and adjusts to her surroundings.  And gets attention and love from everyone!

If you remember, we spend a lot of time sailing on a large ketch in the summer and Jessie has totally adapted to the boat.  She wears her life jacket from morning to night with no issues and is very secure and happy moving around the vessel.  She curls up in the cockpit and naps beside us when we are under way.  And of course going ashore to explore and play is always fun.

We get a huge number of compliments on our unusually nice puppy every where ever we go.  We always refer them to your web sire - some of the people seem seriously interested in where we got her.

We did have one minor issue - you had told us she had a small hernia which was repaired at the same time as her spay surgery.  But she had a small lump in that area which appeared sometimes.  We had it checked and they did an ultrasound and found that she still had the hernia.  So it’s been repaired again - the surgeon found the stitch put in previously but it apparently hadn’t solved the problem.  Anyway the surgery went well and Jessie totally recovered and is fine now.

One question - when should we be switching her to adult dog food - and what do you feed your dogs?  She’s eating the Royal Canin mini puppy…   And she’s bigger than expected - we thought with Moon Pie for a mom the puppy might be small, but Jessie is now 23 pounds…  Which is great - she’s a good size for our situation.

I’m attaching a couple of pictures from her sailing time this summer.  You will recognize her favorite squeaky toy - known as Crocky…

Thanks!

‘Tricia

Hi Gail,

I’m sure you get a million emails like this every week.  We got our beautiful labradoodle from you in 2007.  We call her Besa (BAY sa).   She has been such a fantastic addition to our family, and the only dog we’ve ever had.  I thought of you recently, because we referred a colleague of my wife to you.  I thought I’d drop you a note and tell you how much we love our little Besa.  Our kids are both away at school now, but it’s such a great thing to see her react to them when they come home.  She’s super healthy and seems to be very happy.  I thought I’d just send you a few images of the literally hundreds that we have taken of this lovely puppy over the years.

Thanks so much Gail!

Jim

Hi Gail,
Just wanted to send you an update about Zoey.  She's doing so well and is such a fabulous addition to our family! She is so sweet, when we take her place everyone just falls in love with her. Her personality is so charismatic you can't help but love her from the second she comes over to you! We have given many recommendations to people about Whispering Winds Labradoodle and can say that we have been nothing, but absolutely please with our new family member. Zoey is now 8 months 3 weeks old and thriving! She currently weighs about 13 lbs.

Good Morning Mrs. Gail,

I just wanted to give you an update on Mr. Nestlé. He will be 6 months next Monday. I've attached pictures of both recent (the ones with the jersey is from yesterday) and old (the ones with Nestlé on the pillow). He recently got his first furcut and I'm pretty sure he is feeling himself now lol. He is a very loving puppy and full of energy. My husband and I are very blessed to have him and look forward to adopting another puppy from you in the future. He makes coming home worth while seeing him run, jump, and spin around full of excitement to see us. Adopting Nestlé has made me become such a dog lover, we are very grateful to have him. He's progressing with potty training, he knows outside and potty but he's almost there. We will be taking family portraits soon and I will be sure to send you photos. Thanks again!

Grace & Peace to you,

I just have to say that Skippy has brought a lot of energy to our home. He has turned chip now 2 years old into a big puppy again. They love to play chase and keep away.  Skippy loves to jump literally into the shower when anyone is in it. He will lick the water and play in the shower and when he has had enough he jumps out. We also call him our new outdoor diet devil. He loves to get dirty... Plain and simple he loves to do what he wants to do not what others want him to do.

Below is some pictures .

Hi Gail,
I hope you are doing well. I just realized we have not sent you any photos of Penny lately. She is a year and two months now! Time really flies. Anyways, she is a very sweet little girl (only 17 pounds) and we love her tons. I am attaching a couple photos of us at the pumpkin patch, which she really enjoyed. We pretty much take her everywhere with us. We are going to miss the good weather during winter because we love being able to sit outside at restaurants with her. We are busy preparing for our next little one (a boy due in January). I am sure Penny is going to be a good big sister. She is really gentle with kids.

Anyways, happy fall!

I hope you are well.  I check your website often and it looks like you are still breeding darling dogs.

All my best,

Dear Gail,

I hope this note finds you and Wayne happy, healthy and enjoying these last few days of summer. Warren and I welcomed our newest granddaughter, Macy, on August 10th (photos attached). Big sister, Aubrey, turns 7 in a couple of weeks. We feel so blessed! Mia Mae and Murphy Mac are the perfect 'dog parents'. They take turns sitting by her bassinet keeping watch. When she awakens, they come running to get us. So, so cute.

Gail, I check your website periodically, as a week never goes by that I'm not asked about Mia and Murphy and I want to make sure that the information I give is accurate and up-to-date. I noticed this morning that Redd is listed as retired along with the phrase 'Forever in our hearts'. Sadly, we're thinking the worst, and am hoping you will tell us otherwise. Because Mia and Murphy are 'our world', we feel a special connection with Redd, Candy and Moonie; hence the inquiry.

Warm regards,
Ann, Warren and 'the doods'

Gail, our little girl is a treasure!! She has the most amazing personality. Cuteness abounds!!!!
She is a little devil to try and capture a good photo! This was my most resent attempt on our deck this afternoon.
She will be ready for her first hair cut soon. Her under coat is quite red.  She also has a nice mouth full of permanent teeth.  Her weight is also approximate - she just did not want to step on the scales for very long!
Best wishes for your new litters coming soon. Fondly, Linda

The grandkids call her Coco the Wonder Dog!  She is such a delight with her devotion to our family and calm demeanor.  She has adjusted beautifully, has learned simple commands, and will do anything for a treat or a pat on the head.  Her world has opened up with car rides to do errands, multiple daily walks on a leash, meeting lots of strangers, has gotten used to all kinds of strange noises, and has met new dogs in the neighborhood.  We couldn't be more pleased with her.  Thank you!

Hi Gail,   We love Kaya.  She slept all the way home in the bed we brought her.  Shelby and her are getting along very well, played this morning.  Kaya is not to sure of our cats yet, she growls at them..it’s pretty funny.  She slept by our bed last night in her bed.  All seems to be going well.  Thanks again.   Nikkie

We love him!!!!! His new favorite thing to do is play with the water in his water dish. He takes his paws and takes all the water out and plays in it. Chip sits there and looks at him like what are you doing? Tue two of them are crazy funny.

Henri says hi! I saw on your website that a lot of your dogs have been certified service dogs. I am trying to get Henri into a service dog program so he can fly with me. How does the process work and what are the steps I need to take to get him certified? Hopefully I can get him certified in time to bring him out to get our new girl!
Here are a few recent pictures of Henri. He rules our house! I'll send more later

Gail,
Charlie turned 3 today.  Thought we would share a quick photo.  The kids love him and he is our baby.
He has turned into a great wine dog and gets a little press now and then even.  :)

Dear Gail,
It's amazing to believe that we got this bundle of love 3 whole years ago. She is just the best! The kids adore her and I've never cuddled with anything softer in my life.
Thanks for bringing this little angel into our lives and something tells me we will be back for a little friend for her in the next couple of years. Hope all is well. We love looking at the pictures of all the new puppies, they are adorable!
Warmly,
Amanda Weaver and family

Willie Nelson just LOVES his “fishy”!! (This photo is unposed!!) He loves to carry it around. Willie was born in February, 2009. He is the most friendly, loving dog and we love him (and his brother) dearly! Willie loves our 3 acres north of Jackson, WY, as much as we do!! Jane & Steve H

Picture
Toby Keith is Willie Nelson’s full brother. (adopted at the same time) Toby is eager to do anything, and teases his brother by running off with a favorite toy in order to instigate a chase! Toby sleeps between my knees or cuddles into my side when sleeping or reading in bed! He loves to explore our 3 acres and barks especially at the Magpies, who tease him, just our of reach. We could not imagine not having our 2 Labradoodles—they have been our best dogs ever!! Jane & Steve H, Jackson, WY

Chip is growing up to be a great handsome dog! We see some features of his mom with his long tongue and he looks very much like his dad. He loves to run and loves to jump. We are going to hopefully get him enrolled into agility classes. He passed his K9 good citizen class and test. He is a little lover but certainly doesn't like to sit on your lap he likes to play and rest on the floor or the end of the couch. He loves to go bye bye!  We would love to still come see you and bring chip so you could see him now.

Still in training and he can now do all commands with verbal command and just hand signals . He is so smart. We make sure he sees ohanna they love to play.

Still training to be a therapy dog.

Gail,

Buster made it down to Scottsdale AZ for the Giants Spring Training.  As a therapy dog he was allowed in the stadium and was "interviewed " by SFGiants TV.  He has become very friendly and always calm & gentle.  Never a problem in a restaurant.
I included a couple of pictures of him in the library PAWS reading program.

Hi Gail!

I hope this email finds you well. I can't believe how fast time has gone by but Harper turned a year last month. She is such a funny little dog. She has such personality!  She has happily adjusted to city life and loves her doggie buddies she is walked with when she doesn't come to work with me. It has surprised all of us how different she is from Winston (who turns 9 on Friday!!). Harper is much more of an alpha dog than Winston. Winston continues to be extremely patient with all of her antics!  She just thinks he's the best thing ever, and I'm not sure the feeling is mutual :)

She only weighs about 12 pounds and I don't think she'll get much bigger. Everyone comments that they didn't know labradoodles "came that small". There are doodle puppies all over boston so she has a few buddies who look exactly like her, just all different sizes. I have one question. This past week she has been slightly aggressive towards a couple of dogs she has greeted during our walks. She has had plenty of socialization and training so this really surprised me. Is this typical for a dog her age or something I should be concerned about?  I've upped the training during our walks and we're working on sitting while dogs walk by her and that seems to have helped. Any other thoughts or suggestions would be great!  Aside from this weird behavior this week she has been a really joy to have in my life!  She loves to play and cuddle (and to be the boss!).  Dad (aka Winston's sidekick!) really has fun with her too when we visit Salem. Thanks again for everything (especially the crate training.  She loves her crate and has no problems with barking or anxiety when I leave her alone!)

Best,
Liz

Dear Gail,

I know it’s been a long time since I’ve connected with you but I wanted to give you an update on dear Bandit as well as share my condolences regarding Godiva. I remember Bandit’s beautiful daughters, Jewel and Godiva. They were just wee little girls when we picked Bandit up to take home. We got a chance to play with them while we were there and they were so sweet. What a lovely little girl, I’m so very sorry to hear about the accident. She will be thought of fondly.

Dear Bandit is doing very well and is an integral part of our family. He has an amazing personality (sneezes when he’s excited and spins in circles when I come home!) and loves our walks around the neighbourhood. He is still very connected to his two  ½ years with you as he always runs over to the TV or computer if he hears puppies. He is known as “Pops” to some of our neighbours because of how well he behaves when their puppies are climbing all over him.

Most importantly though, he is one of the best companion dogs I’ve ever had.  I recently suffered the loss of my mother and couldn’t possibly have gotten through it without him. He was very attentive and gave the best snuggles a person could hope for in that situation. He never left my side and when I was upset he would come up and bump his nose on mine to make me smile. It worked every time!

Bandit has been such a wonderful addition and I feel so blessed to have him. I can’t thank you enough for giving us such a precious gift. I wish you all the best and one day will be back to add another of your amazing pups to our family.

All the best,

Deborah M

Hi Gail,

First off let us apologize for not emailing you much sooner.  We got Wyatt from you in November 2013.  Quite simply, he is the best dog and he has been the greatest addition to our family.  He loves to swim in the pool and retrieve toys.  He goes to a doggy play group two days a week and is one of the most popular dogs because he loves to play.  Wyatt even has a girlfriend named Stella, a Cavalier King Charles.

Every chance we get we mention Whispering Wind to people interested in getting a great dog.

Here are a couple pictures of Wyatt.  All the best.

Hi Gail & Wayne,   You were right Gail - Truffles is the sweetest girl ever! She is such a cuddler and has snuggled right into everyone’s heart. She is my shadow and I love it! We took a brief trip to Victoria over the holidays and went to a hotel that allows dogs. She was so well behaved (at times better than my children ).   I see from your website that you have many new additions to your family.  I think that Truffles misses other dogs but for now we are spoiling her with lots of love and down the road will probably look at adding another to our family.   I have attached a few pictures of the kids with Truffles.    Lots of love,   Shelna, Bruce, Holden & Helena W  February 22, 2015

You gave us Comet about 10 years ago.  At the time we lived in Rye, NY and we learned from our neighbors about you. You had given them Derby.  We now live up in Boston.
I just wanted to let you know he is doing so great.  He is such a big part of our family.  He pretty much goes everywhere we go.  He has not only brought incredible joy to our immediate family but also to so many other people including our parents.  He is smart, loving and so kind to kids.  In the morning, he loves laying in our bed and getting rubbed/scratched.  I included some pictures below.
I just wanted to thank you for giving us such a wonderful dog.

Dear Gail
Haven't really kept you up to date with Kiah but had to send her Christmas picture. She is now 8 years old and has as much energy as when a puppy. WE LOVE HER.
She still loves watching TV and catches the animals in the smallest part of the ads before we even see them. In fact, recently we had to rewind 3 or 4 times to see what she was so excited about! The dog was in the backseat of the car and you could barely see it! She just amazes everyone and brings laughter to all with her dashing to get her red "beau beau" to wat h the animals. My brother records animal shows or western movies when they take care of her and she has a special chair!
I was looking at some of her pictures the other day and came across the pictures of Lulu and Tegan Park YumYum. She is almost exact in color of her dad but she definitely has her mom's eyes.
She really likes travel and we have taken her to Idaho and Canada. She gets SO much attention wherever she goes and is so friendly to all. No one can believe how soft she is nor that she is only 19 pounds (take away all the fluff and she is nothing!).
The pictures are from Christmas and the other after a full day of company (who had the nerve to sit on HER sofa).
I will never forget the day I saw her picture on line and called you. You were so helpful in telling me about the breed ( and you were so right!).

The American Kennel Club awards four levels of Therapy Dog titles for dogs visiting schools, hospitals, nursing homes, retirement communities, hospice, libraries or private homes.  The first level, THERAPY DOG (ThD)  requires fifty therapeutic visits. The second, THERAPY DOG ADVANCED (ThDA) requires one hundred.  At the level of THERAPY DOG EXCELLENT (ThDX), two hundred visits are required.  At the fourth and highest level DISTINGUISHED THERAPY DOG  (ThDD) the  AKC demands four hundred documented visits.  The dogs earning these titles must be members of an accredited Therapy Dog organization and the person nominating them must provide documentation of their dogs' work.

Whispering Winds JIGI (VCD1, RA NJP THDX, CGC) and his twin brother Whispering Winds Zuzu (BN, RN, TD, NA, NAJ, RATCH, THDX, CGC) have both been awarded the THERAPY DOG EXCELLENT title.  They have each visited St. Joseph's Medical Center, the Cancer Center, Whatcom County schools,  Whatcom County Libraries, Adult Day Health,  Mt. Baker Care and various other institutions for a combined four hundred and thirty-three visits. Their owner and handler, Bonnie Bird, is delighted with this honor.  Her dogs work hard and play hard and are wonderful companion animals.  They have brought solace or joy to many, many members of the community, which is the highest form of service.

Gail,
Roman and I wanted to thank you again for Danny. He's a sweet, loving dog, and we love having him as part of our family. He's great at fetch and loves running around the parks near our house. He's so fast! He's great about grooming and taking baths and even enjoys getting his teeth brushed! ...............
Thanks so much & here's a picture of Danny in our car, waiting for Roman to come back from being inside a store.  Erin  February 13, 2015

Hi Gail,

I just wanted to give you a quick update on Layla (aka honey).  She is doing absolutely fantastic.  She just had a full check up with the veterinarian and everything is perfect – in fact she has been healthy every day since we got her.   She now weighs 20 pounds.

Layla is in her 4th week of training at Riverdog in Issaquah.  She is so smart and has excelled during all phases of the formal training very quickly.   She is the favorite dog of all the trainers!

Simply put we could not be happier having Layla with us as part of our family.  Her demeanor and temperament are just absolutely amazing.  Thanks again for doing such a great job as a breeder.
